Quote of the Day
"Lage would make a very good president - he's very pragmatic and solid and he has a good economic head on his shoulders."
Our old friend Wayne Smith, one-time diplomat and currently director of the Cuba program at the Center for International Policy, puts his money on Carlos Lage.

Putting a Wayne Smith in charge of a "Cuba program" is like putting Dracula in charge of a blood bank. The results are both inevitable and completely predictable.
Wayne Smith has absolutely no credibility anywhere. I wonder what the Satet Security has on these poor excuse of a diplomat that he feels obliged to do Kastros' bidding at avery chance he gest near a microphone or a media oulet? It would be interesting to see when the files for State Security are opened some day, just like the ones in the defunct East Germany revealed when they were opened.
