Dear folks,
Blogging will almost certainly take a back seat over the next few weeks, as your bloggist and his long-suffering wife take a much-anticipated break in Europe, starting off in Madrid.
Then again, the trusty laptop is coming along so ... who knows?

Enjoy your trip. Have fun but remember that Spain is very exensive these days.
Spain, of course, SHOULD be the most natural foreign vacation destination for anyone of Cuban origin. However, reality being what it sadly (and disgracefully) is, Spain doesn't deserve to make any money whatsoever from anyone of Cuban origin.
Its debt with Cuba, material and otherwise, is so great that it would be very difficult to pay, even assuming Spain had any intention of doing so (which it certainly does not).
I write this with both anger and pain, because all my ancestry, to my knowledge, is Spanish. However, the truth is still the ugly truth.
