Surely, this must be the quote of the day:
"The wild colt of new technologies can and must be controlled."
It comes from the Cuban Minister for Communications, Ramiro Valdes, speaking today in Havana. He was referring to the Internet, which he described as one of the tools used by the capitalist world for “global extermination”.
And Cuba has among the lowest rates of Internet penetration anywhere in the world.

For those of you who don’t recall, before his latest incarnation in the communications portfolio, Valdes was for many years the feared head of the Castro regime’s highly efficient secret police.And Cuba has among the lowest rates of Internet penetration anywhere in the world.

"The wild colt of new technologies can and must be controlled" - wild colt - was this a Freudian slip on kamerad Valdes' part, unconsciously referring to his boss, no longer a wild colt, just an old literally pooped out horse...years ago I recall a movie title, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" This should be given premier billing in Havana!
