Minor Interruptions

Apologies to those of you popping by every now and then for being so lax in my posting duties recently. In fact, this will be my last post for a few weeks. Off on a (much-needed) break. See you soon and once again, thank you for your visit!

Hi, Luis

My name is Irena Macri and I am a multimedia producer for News Limited’s national news website news.com.au. I found your blog but couldn't find an email address so I took the liberty of posting to your blog.

In the lead-up to the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, news.com.au is putting together a multimedia special focusing on personal stories of what it is/was like living in a communist country. We are looking for people from different former/current communist countries to tell us about different aspects of their everyday life there, such as education, work, relationships, family values, ambitions, health system and so on. Everyone has different memories and insights, good and bad, and that’s what we want to capture for our video feature.

We would really like to do a video interview with someone from Cuba who has lived there at some stage of their life (or still living) and would be interested in talking to us about their experience.

Would you be interested in sharing your story or perhaps you can point me in the direction of a person who would be suitable/interested in participating?

The interview will take about 20 mins of your time and we will come and shoot the video wherever is most convenient for you. We are Sydney based and looking to shoot from 26th – 30th of October.

Please email me at
irena.macri@news.com.au if you can help us out. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards
Irena

By now your holiday may be over. thankyou for your blogs.
I,ve just read your " Child of the Revolution ". I loved it but was sad how Cubans suffer so much under Castro. You are to be commended for putting in so much energy for the future democracy + freedom for Cuba.
