Where is Raul?
It’s now more than 48 hours since Cuban television announced that after 47 years in power, Fidel Castro was about to undergo (or had undergone) serious surgery and therefore, had handed over power “temporarily” to his brother Raul, the designated successor. Big news in anyone’s language.
So, where is Raul?
In any other country, the new head of government, no matter how temporary, would have made at least a television appearance as soon as possible to assure his or her compatriots that everything was under control. Business as usual.

In "any other country" is right. But this is CUBA
I think we should start a "Where's Wally" type of competition - Where's Raul?
I enjoy your blog.
look for him behind a Havana Club 13 Anos label!
Raul is doing what he should be doing. Staying away from the airwaves. Raul lacks charisma and he's probably waiting for Big Brother to wake up and give him the Green Light to say something.
